Temposhark - Invisible Ink/Little White Lie (Paper And Glue)
UK release date: 16 May 2005
With their second single, a double A-side, dub-electro-rock trio Temposhark are continuing to forge a diamond-studded path along London's club scene.
First A-side Invisible Ink is a move away however from their debut Neon Question Mark, which blazed a trail for sexy midnight loucheness, with singer Rob Diament's distinctive breathless 'n' breezy vocals. It continues in the nocturnal theme but is reflective and sensitive, with only slow industrial off-beats - a la Depeche Mode's Blasphemous Rumours - punctuating Diament's soul-searching lyrics.
Little White Lie then returns to Temposhark's trademark lascivious beats and sassy storylines - this time relaying what goes on behind a closed hotel door.
With three mixes by Cursor Miner, Noblesse Oblige and Crispin J Glover, this single is a hedonistically turbulent trip that is well worth checking out.
