This electro-influenced slab of spiky indie pop is the latest offering from the alter ego of Southend-on-Sea's Amy Turnnidge.
In the same vein as last year's Red Mist, The Hypocrite is full of energy as its tinny backing track charges along with Turnnidge's low-key vocals laid over the top.
The single comes backed with Never Good Enough, showing off her gentler side, displaying that she's not a one-trick pony and can pull off a stripped back ballad as successfully as a dancefloor filler.
What both tracks have in common are simple but effective melodies with some nicely textured vocal harmonies.
Yep - this is good stuff. It's not clear what's so theoretical about the girl - maybe she's too good to be true. But at this rate, success looks like becoming a reality.
