Adding to the list of successful new britrock bands, ThisGIRL strike back with Master Blaster, a single that manages to move in and out of mood in a way that fashion does best. Starting off with a Rage Against The Machine intro, this soon leads to Liam Creamer's vocals resembling that of The Music to then halt in a way Yourcodenameis:Milo do it best.

The real highlight of the CD is B-side Angel, a cover of the gorgeous Massive Attack

classic. Chilling just like the original and we get to witness Creamer's vocals glide their way through the 4 and a half minute track, his vocals unchanged but yet easily adapting to the high pedigree of the song.

From then on its downhill, Plaster Caster (an acoustic version of Master Blaster) and Don't Be A Kite manage to bore rather than inspire but thankfully, they're not intended for release. Masterblaster however is a fantastic slab of confused, insane alt-rock that leaves grips you by the ears then leaves you hanging for dear life. Who said confusion was a bad thing?
