Three years of sporadic forays into chart territory have sexed up the anticipation levels for Tiga's debut LP to salacious levels. You can just about hear the squeals and catfights as the cellophane-wrapped packages of camptastic pop are snatched from the shelves.
Far From Home - the first Tiga single unleashed with a big brother album behind it - is little short of genius. Produced by the man himself and those Belgian superstars Soulwax, it plods across the dancefloor in sequin pants, dropping into the splits as the electro-chorus soars and Tiga deadpans his way into the hearts of sparkly popettes everywhere.
It's a case of Far From Home but not far from friends as hints of Scissor Sisters and Zoot Woman gyrate their way into the mix. Tracks like this might just elevate the Sexor LP to dancefloor-shaking levels. Glittered fingers crossed!
