Currently being used in a Panasonic advert, this track from Swedish alt-folkster Tobias Fröberg has probably been driving you up the wall for the last few months. Therein lies one of its main problems. Not the fact that you've heard it a trillion times already, but the fact that something that makes for an interesting 30 second bit of background noise does not necessarily make a good single.

With the acoustic guitar and bongo drums opening quickly leading into the main vocals and what sounds like several hundred session musicians and singers, there's just too much going on. Some songs can cope with that, but this is not one of them. There's also a part of you that can't help thinking it would be better without the singing entirely, as the quality of Fröberg's voice lends nothing to this whatsoever.

The plan behind this is obviously to try and be the new José Gonzalez. The problem is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the current one, and this just isn't in the same league. Fortunately this will only be around for length of the ad campaign, as the chances of it bothering the charts are infinitesimal.
