This really is loathsome trash. Vek has slowed down Electric Six's none-more-novelty Danger! High Voltage, put some atonal nonsense over the top and called it electro-clash. And he's done so about a year after anyone - and by anyone, I mean the NME before they realised it was rubbish - thought that might be cool.
The sleeve is typical - it's done up in the indy-bedroom stylings of The Face, which is nice, although it bears sod all relation to what's inside. Except for the misplaced conviction that the eighties are obscure and hip, and not being recycled weekly on the X-Factor, or sold for a tenner at Topshop.
And all of this meets some truly, almost sublimely, bollocks lyrics. "If you want war, then you better start fighting" may be the most inane thing I've ever heard.
