Yes, it's another one. Following the examples of such musical wastes of space as Uniting Nations and Hi-Tack, Tommyknockers become the latest band to think of a hit from the '80s, slap a generic dance track over it, throw some glamour models in the video and sit back, count the cash and laugh uproariously as the brain dead of Britain flock to buy it.
This time, the song in question is John Parr's St Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion), and we're told that Parr was so impressed with the song he re-recorded his vocals for the track. Presumably, bills are becoming very hard to pay in the Parr household these days.
It's lacking in any kind of imagination, spark, or originality and is music at its most cynical and soul destroying. It won't stop it becoming huge of course, because there's a big market for this kind of stuff. Short of arming the record store staff of the country and telling them to fire at will, it's difficult to know how to stop it.
