Touche - She's At The Club/Body Clap (Southern Fried)
UK release date: 15 November 2004
Little did I know about Touche' till I had a listen to the double A-side single and then lead myself to the obvious option of going to their label's website (where I proceeded to find out almost nothing else about them). However, blind and ignorant to the artist, I let them attack my CD player and cautious ears for criticism.
She's At The Club is a full-on, deep baseline, speaker-shaking, dance-floor filler. It actually sounds as if you placed the voice of Missy Elliott and music of the Scissor Sisters in a blender and had Timo Maas remix the finished product. It comes in two versions, so ignore the radio edit and skip straight to track two.
The Body Clap, despite the fact it sounds like a newly discovered STD, is a suitable name for the track, as you will find yourself clapping your hands to the beat in between pirouetting around your bedroom. Again, just as the first single on this double A-side, it's a deep funky house track to keep any DJ happy.
