If you're expecting this Icelandic musical export to follow recent trends and offer glacial post-rock soundscapes and spectral vocals to send shivers down your spine, a la yet another bunch of Sigur Ros copyists, think again.
Dirty disco would be a better way to describe Trabant: flash, camp and more the bastard child of Bjork and Lordi than something likely to soundtrack a David Attenborough documentary. They look - and sound - like they've just escaped from a dressing up box shared by the Scissor Sisters and Patrick Wolf, when they're wearing clothes at all, which isn't always the case. This is, of course, a very good thing.
The One, the preceding single to their soon-to-be-released album Emotional, has a touch of the Eurodiscos about it (and, dare we say, even the Eurovisions) but it's big, bombastic, fun and eminently danceable.
With the single offering five versions, including remixes from The Filthy Dukes, label mates The Black Ghosts, the mysterious Williams and Para One, it can't really fail, can it?
