Re-Offender is quite interesting from its ambiguous title to its promising beginning - with a little splash of Chris Martin sound - though from the outset it's uncertain who's thwarting whom in this affair. This was never a problem in the golden age of rock.

But then Re-Offender segues off into Radio-Two-head sound riffs, and the words, initially fresh but now mindlessly repeated, run out and Travis whines.

The promising start leads to... nothing. The ambivalences lead to... no resolution. It just drifts off into... nothing. Sad. Easy listening.
