Oh! is a wonderfully glittery and sparkly indie pop tune, and it would be fair to say that they don't really make them like this anymore. In fact I can't really think of a contemporary artist that has a similar sound to The Trudy.
There are elements of Sidi Bou Said and perhaps a little of Throwing Muses in there, but at the moment The Trudy are in a league of their own.
An unashamedly funky guitar riff drives the verses as the song slowly begins to build up a coat of shiny layers. The focal point is Melissa Jo Heathcote whose voice is about as sweet as it is possible to be without her vocals making your teeth rot out of your jaw. It's her performance that makes this song sound fresh and exciting, when it could easily have sound horribly dated. As it is, Heathcote makes sure that Oh! is worthy of its exclamation mark
