The second single to be lifted from the forthcoming Ether Song album, this could well be the track that shunts Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian into the premier league.

Pain Killer, which you will not be surprised to learn is not a cover of Judas Priest's 1990 stomper, is by turns beautiful and uplifting. It features a delightful, stop-start acoustic riff before effortlessly moving into a chorus the size of Michael Jackson's plastic surgery bill.

"Summer rain dripping down your face again... Leave all your misery behind," they sing in their inimitable fashion, and for three and a half minutes you can close your eyes and do just that.

Feel good hit of the winter?
