The likeable duo from South London follow up the excellent The Optimist album with this wistful little number.
Produced by Tony Hoffer, who has also worked with Air and Beck amongst others, Long Distance starts off all acoustic and gentle before building up nicely to a wail of Air-like space-age noises. It's clear too, that lead singer Olly Knights hasn't had the best of times in the relationships department - "I let somebody get under my skin" as he sings on the chorus - which adds to the beautifully melancholic mood of the track.
If the rest of the forthcoming album keeps up this quality, we could have a classic on our hands.
