If you're unfamiliar with Underground Railroad, Sticks and Stones offers both a good example of what they have to offer and a good sampler of what to expect from their upcoming album of the same name.

Positioned somewhere between shoegaze and Spiritualised, with new wave guitars looped into knots, they are dark and rich, oppressive and wonderfully liberating all at once - the kind of music that's far too clever to ever threaten the charts.

As the emotion builds for the chorus, you also realise that this is as catchy as they're ever likely to get. You're not exactly singing along with them but you are shouting at the world in unison, at least until the drums beat you into submission.
