Anyone smart enough to own a copy of the marvellous Veils' album The Runaway Found must be jumping for joy right about now: The Tide That Left And Never Came Back is by far the catchiest number, and if anybody deserves some mainstream success, it's the prodigious Finn Andrews.

From the delicately plucked guitar intro to the rip-roaring sing-along chorus, it is a song that grabs you without reserve. Andrews' normally subdued and gravelly vocals elevate to new heights while not losing any sincerity at all.

"The Tide That Left And Never Came Back / Is On My Mind Tonight". Never has a truer line been sung - this is The Veils at their infectious best.
