Remember the first time you heard Last Nite by The Strokes, What A Waster by The Libertines or I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor by Arctic Monkeys? Do you recall that massive grin that split your face? That feeling that you were on to something out of the ordinary? That urge to run out and tell your friends that you'd discovered the next big thing?
Well, thanks to Dundee teenagers The View, we can feel that way again, without having to dig up those dusty old LPs. You see, Wasted Little DJ's, their first full release, is just one of those songs, by a band that will, without a doubt, be a household name in 2007, be sung back to by pissed and sweaty fans at festivals across the land and one that'll keep the touts holidaying in the sun for the forseeable future.
A piece of instantly classic, gritty yet poppy rock 'n' roll, it grips you from the second the first chords are struck and holds menacingly tight for its duration, not forgetting to wow you with the type of chorus that gets people into music in the first place. Remember where you were, chaps.
