The recent disappearance of Madeleine Peyroux did wonders for her album sales. Maybe Warren Suicide singer Lucki noted this before doing his own escapist turn, the story of which has made several of the inkies just in time for this single release. Who are you calling cynical?

The out-of-Berlin electroclash threesome's new single Fulford starts with a sampled American pontificating about terrorist attacks. From there it sticks together noirish electro beats with mashed-up vocal samples and (presumably) Lucki's doubled-up drone.

Then about half way through, souped-up guitars are added to the mix. It seems they let T.Raumschmiere loose on the track in an effort to make it interesting. Pulling in cymbal smashes and female vocals asking "2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate? FULFORD!", it's weird, disjointed but pulsing all the same. One is left with the odd impression of schoolgirls messing about with Trent Reznor's iBook.
