For some, the realisation that We Are Scientists were on the bill for the prestigious NME Awards Tour was a bit of a shock. However, they didn't fail to deliver, the sometimes tiresome songs from With Love And Squalor turning into rampant, energetic beasts live. Upon this success with this timely release, We Are Scientists aim to build.

We Are Scientists are kings at making pop rock that you sort of shouldn't like, but at times you really love. It's A Hit is one of the songs from their debut album that can be taken more seriously. With beautiful whining guitars, airtight frenetic drums and an aching vocal delivery It's A Hit is sharp, catchy, and very stylish.

It's not anything new, and it's not anything different, but what We Are Scientists do what they do very well and the result is at least likeable, and at times lovable. It's A Hit is definitely worth a residency on your iPod type music machine thing.
