It's unfair and unprofessional to judge a band by their previous single, but coming of the back of Seven Nation Army it's hard not to.

Gone is the infectious bassline and clean-cut vocals and in their place is a rough cut song in all respects. However Jack White's howling does have an eerie Cobain-esque quality to it. It's a far cry from their previous single though - and probably won't be everybody's cup of tea. As one of the weaker tracks on Elephant it is surprising that that it's been released as a single

Not to say this isn't a good song - it's just not good enough to follow up the success of Seven Nation Army. Maybe Jack and Meg aren't lying when they say that they're not interested in commercial gain.
