Cornwall is bursting at the seams, like an overweight Elvis impersonator in a rhinestone jumpsuit, with new musical talent at the moment. Haven, Thirteen Senses, Fame Academy's Alex Parks and now Wire Daises. To think that some people believe there's nothing to the county except pasties, surfing and The Eden Project...

Everyman is the foursome's third single from their debut album Just Another Day. It's a beautiful song, with touches of The Cranberries to it. Bongos, pretty guitairs, piano and lush, melancholic singing from Treana Morris make for a song worthy of the soundtrack to The O.C.

Unfortunately, Everyman is rather bland - like cooked pasta with no sauce. It's nothing new, treading a beaten 'middle of the road' path and, rather sadly, is instantly forgettable. By all means, give it a listen, but don't expect it to remain on your CD player for too long.

This is a download only release
