Sharp guitar sounds and smashing rolls of drum and cymbal make the new single from The Wombats worthy to rock-out to - but you might well choose to sit this one out.

They're "Moving to New York and Christmas has come early" for them, apparently. Well, if this single gets much major recognition than you may well think so. Without meaning to sound too harsh, the track contains the accumulations of an adolescent wordsmith who has plundered his honest lines from some idle graffiti artists.

It's twanging, banging, zealous, with some "oh la la la" backing vocals that suit the very simple lyrics. The instrumental is powerful enough, but there isn't much creative spark. Otherwise it's a big indie-dance number that will fade into the background of a party. If you're not on the cusp of cutting shapes on the dance floor, this will elicit little more than a yawn.
