Someone once said to me house music is for cunts. Jarvis believes cunts are running the world. C-word and half-truths apart, there is actually another thing both subjects have in common. They ought to lighten up.
Dance music has become so healthily inbred these days that its traditional sub genres are blurring. So we're left with ostentatiously hyphenated descriptions like new-wave-electro-house and so on. Apart from providing good sustenance to hacks weaning a word count, they're to an extent the most accurate way to refer to this exciting crossbreeding.
The Frenchman Yuksek is a pedigree example of this, creating the sort of stuff that swings it hips from the wacky to the edgy. Given the bloom electro is currently enjoying Composer and the b-side Little Dirty Trip fractions more towards it, naturally. The remixes of both are pretty stonking too. So let go of those inhibitions and join in the salute to the inbred cunts who should rule this world.
