Another airing for the soporific sounds of Zero 7, the perfect accompaniment to a lazy summer evening in bar or lounge. It won't surprise you to know that In Time deviates little from their previous template of chill-out music with a dash of soul.
Initially the verse doesn't bode well, pointing to a relatively unmemorable track, but this is rescued by the gorgeous falling chord motif of the chorus - much more hooky than their previous two singles - and the vocals from Sophie Barker, which are understated but nice and simple. P>
It's fair to say that on current form Zero 7's music still sounds a bit lethargic, but when the weather's hot, who needs anything more?
