Anaemia is hardly the most rock'n'roll of conditions, and you certainly shouldn't be moaning about how alone you are in your pasty faced state, as Zico Chain do at the end of this little ditty.
They should be singing about charging down the co-op, picking up a couple of pounds of liver and devouring it like a hungry wolverine in front of the girl at the till. Slightly unhinged that may be, but at least it goes some way to explaining why you're alone, and it at least would give you something of an edge.
As for the tune, well this Brit band sound as if they've been schooled in the States as far as their music goes. Riffs sound a bit punky, but are quite polished too. Much like San Diego's finest Rocket From The Crypt used to, they thump out with feverish regularity. Vocally, Chris Githero seems to have adopted an American accent (it's probably the lack of iron in his diet) which is at best interesting, and at worst laughable.
That said, Anaemia whips along at breakneck speed never outstaying its welcome and almost manages to incite a frantic nodding of the noggin. This is far from an anaemic offering, but then it's hardly the most exciting thing to grace my CD player this week either...have you heard that Pissed Jeans album?
