Zoot Woman are/is three men, one of whom is Stuart Price - better known to some as Les Rythmes Digitales. As a result you know that it is going to be well produced, but what about the content, the style? I am not sure if they are trying to be a legitimate band or if they are a dance outfit.
Perhaps in the same way The Chemical Brothers can cross over, so too can Zoot Woman. The singing is good enough and as well as the bass and guitars there are some appealing noises incorporated, adding a familiar electronic feel.
Grey day is a piece of high-octane, Run Lola Run music. The B-side is vamped up for an even faster ride.
