Jamie Cullum continues his seemingly unstoppable rise with what would probably have once been called a double A-side. These Are The Days, while not being the most memorable of Cullum's self penned material, is a perfectly pleasant Sinatra-lite ballad that will cement his favoured status on the Radio Two playlist.

What makes this release really special though is the other track, Frontin'. Yes, the recent RnB smash by Pharrell Williams has been turned on its head by Cullum into a moody, jazzy reinterpretation which sounds just fantastic. Pharrell himself has heard it and loved it so much he apparently now wants to work with Cullum - the results of which should be intriguing to say the least.

Although there are signs that the inevitable backlash against Cullum has begun, this release should prove that he has the talent to rise against such snipings.
