Kings Of Leon - The Bucket (Hand Me Down)
UK release date: 25 October 2004
Kings Of Leon - The Bucket

The Kings Of Leon are poised to unleash their massively anticipated full-length follow up to Youth And Young Manhood; a follow-up we've all been wanting for a year and more. The Bucket is taken from that forthcoming sophomore effort (brilliantly entitled Aha Shake Heartbreak), and doesn't disappoint.

The Bucket is, as you may expect, a mouth-watering slice of new millenium Americana, complete with hard/soft juxtapositions and Caleb Followill's sweet-as-honey southern drawl. "Ayyteeen, baawlding!" he cries, backed by the kind of straight-forward, sunrise-in-a-barn rock the Kings have made their own.

It may have a more wholesome sound than a Wasted Time or Molly's Chambers, but it remains as essential as either of those tracks, not to mention its bluesy, veranda-bound b-side Where Nobody Knows. Frankly brilliant, which is what we have come to expect from our favourite four country boys.
