The Kaiser Chiefs sprung to prominence last year with their single I Predict A Riot - a barmstorming song which managed to rhyme 'lairy' with 'tell thee' - for which moment alone it should always be regarded a work of genius.

Oh My God, a re-release of their debut single, is even better. The lyrics are, again, eminently quotable ("I come back stronger than a powered up Pacman” for instance) and the song possesses a chorus that will haunt you for weeks, if not months. It's like someone's taken the best bits of The Clash, Franz Ferdinand and Madness and mixed them all up in a cocktail shaker to produce something truly delicious.

As Clive Tyldesley once said of some footballer named Wayne Something - The Kaiser Chiefs...remember the name, remember the name. They're just about to become huge, and this is going to be the song that will catapult them into the big time.
