Desperate? With songs like this, I'm not surprised. Expect to see the boys from The Faint appearing in all good town centres near you, clutching cardboard signs with the words "WILL WORK FOR FOOD" printed on them, because this is overstyled, irony-free, 80s mimicking drivel.

It renders any arguments about whether or not they've missed the whole, Depeche Mode-lovin' electro-punk bandwagon irrelevant, as you'd hope that, if it was still here, the only time The Faint would get close to it would be as it was crushing them to death underneath its cold, metallic wheels.

It scratches and glitches and disinterestedly sings about "acting indifferent in the merch booth putting on make-up," thinking it sounds oh-so cool when in fact it sounds oh-so laughable. Fischerspooner without any sense of the theatrical or any sense of fun. The Bravery minus any goodwill generated by the pair of good tunes they have. A parody and it doesn't even know it. Desperate Guys? You said it...
