Fat Joe, the portly Puerto Rican helping give a little weight to J-Lo's career, popped up on her first release, and lent some much needed credibility to what some cynics regarded as a joke music career.

No matter how much weight he added, it could never really be enough. After all, who really regards Jennifer Lopez as a musical talent first and foremost? First of all there's the acting 'career', then there's the Affleck relationship, and finally the posterior that almost every woman in the world seems to want to emulate. If being a failed actress whose most famous achievement is having a failed relationship is the way to celebrity, imagine how enormous Ms Lopez is going to be when her one saving grace starts to sag.

Before that moment though is the return of the J-Lo, and Hold You Down. Unlike Jenny From The Block, which was a terrible apology of a song (in more ways than one), Hold You Down is so understated it might almost go undetected. There's no fat bass lines, just a flat beat and some tinkling chimes that wouldn't be out of place on a Christmas single. The lyrics are sweet but not sickly so, and Fat Joe's appearance doesn't sound like he's co-opted the track - instead he allows Lopez's voice room to breathe; and who would have guessed it, she may have an asset that is more impressive than her booty.
