Dear Lord, he's wearing a hoodie on the cover of the single. Everything they said about this item of clothing was right: Civilization is in danger, culture is at its lowest ebb, and Rob Thomas, musical thug that he is, will lead the marketing men to victory.

One time Matchbox 20 member Thomas has gone solo, penning a whole album's worth of bumper pop tunes of which this is the first single. Gone are the MOR influences that made Matchbox 20 popular across the board - in their place is the confident pop of the likes of Timberlake and Maroon 5. It's not quite that simple though; because although he's crammed influences and clever refrains in all over the place, he's forgotten a quite important principle - If you're calling a song Lonely No More, and writing lyrics like: "I don't wanna be angry no more," then surely lacing your vocals with a little emotion here and there would be a good idea. Quite what "I don't wanna be lonely no more, I don't wanna have to pay for this" alludes to is anyone's guess.

This song will be huge, no matter what anyone says. It's catchy, it pushes all the right buttons, and it will be played at the end of the night at every disco countrywide. Rob Thomas should still be kept out of shopping malls, though, even if he isn't wearing a hooded top - remember Tiffany?
