As if we haven't had enough half-hearted political imagery stirred up recently in the musical world, along comes another outfit to have their belated prod.
The Stereo MCs have once again raised their drawn heads to spout some forgettable tosh about warheads (cue air raid siren). If only their loose backing beats and sloggy tunes didn't induce boredom so quickly, you'd have the opportunity to find whether their lyrics are worth the air they will be played into.
At least second track First Love has the punch that was recognisable in 2001's comeback single We Belong In This World Together, but still the limp hip hop is unlikely to turn heads. An LP due to be released in August will confirm whether these MCs are anything more than a shadow of their former selves.
