Lauri and co., having been stunned by the equal measures of adoration and hatred inspired by the massive hit In The Shadows, said they were going more rock, getting a little darker. Evidence from what we've heard of the new album is that they've done a bit of both, though very much retaining the whole Goth Rock meets Abba meets Aha thing in the process.

So you may think you have nothing at all to fear from No Fear... but wait! Having let those non-believers amongst you sink into complacency, be very aware that I lied - the song is, in fact, a veritable Trojan Horse by name - No Fear is actually just as catchy, just as infectious as In the Shadows, though perhaps a little less inspired. It's even got an Oh-Eh-Oh refrain that gets into your head like a parasite and stays there - and good for them too. The Rasmus aren't going to disappear, and neither are they going to stop doing what they're good at - producing fantastic 80s tinged pop-rock anthems like this. So if you're one of those miserable rock purists who can't stand so called 'Rock' artists making accessible music then be afraid - be very afraid indeed - as it may be time to go back into hiding...
