"Let there be love", he says. A sentiment many may be surprised to hear Manc rascal Liam Gallagher express as Oasis release the latest from their return-to-form LP Don't Believe The Truth.

Based around a lazy acoustic guitar and echoing piano, Let There Be Love is "the slow one" from the album, far different from the bouncy, frenetic singles we've seen so far. Vocal duty is shared between the Gallaghers, with Noel further exemplifying his knack for writing the perfect vocal melody.

Let There Be Love proves Oasis still boast the ability to create moving and emotionally evocative songs with their down-tempo wizardry. The sort of talent that has manifested itself throughout their career in songs like Cast No Shadow and Champagne Supernova. Make no mistake, though - if Liam is calling for love, there better bloody be some, or there'll be trouble.
