Alex writes all kinds of stuff and doesn't much enjoy being holed like a pigeon. His main thing is doing research into the audiovisual in popular music, and a PhD which takes Gorillaz' Plastic Beach as its main subject is now completed. He's also a musician and writer of songs, recording sometimes under the name of Hello Hibernator, and planning a more ambitious popular music transmedia piece. Currently on a bit of break from London, he's hiding away down in Surrey right now, but can easily be tempted back with offers of gigs and Turkish Delight ®.
