After five years battling congestion, pollution, and overpriced accommodation in London, Claire recently made the fairly sudden decision to uproot and return to her hometown of Edinburgh to work in the mysterious world of academia.
She's enjoying seeing the stars at night again despite the bitterly cold wind and has returned to her teen years by ingratiating herself with the local band scene, once more.
Cool Scottish unsigned bands to watch out for include My Tiny Robots, who her friend's boyfriend plays for and her mate's band The Mars Patrol, who work so hard she never gets to see them socially! And they really are both good not just because she knows them.
She also hates this picture because in her head she really looks (and lives) like Kate Moss. Did we mention that she's a bit of a fantasist?
