Matt Cotsell grew up in the Wiltshire countryside, listening to Madonna, before discovering grunge and experimental music in the early '90s. That obsession with celebrating otherness and independence, grew into admiration for composers like Robert Ashley, Beverley Glenn Copeland, Popol Vuh, Grouper, Alice Coltrane and Sun Ra. After completing a Bachelors in Fine Art and periods spent living in London, Antwerp and Berlin, he now resides in Brighton, where he freelances as writer, musician, DJ, graphic designer & photographer.
