Thomas May
Here's everything published by this contributor on musicOMH.
Thomas’ appreciation of music is founded in the post-punk movement of the late '70s and early '80s although Canadian post-rock has been as important to him in the development of his current tastes. Some musical experiences that stick in his memory are: seeing Wheatus with his mum at Guildford Civic Hall; hearing The Glow Pt. 2 for the first time; and having a piss next to Thurston Moore.
Thomas is interested in the power of words not only to influence but to construct our perceptions and experiences of music. As such, he attempts to include as much extrapolation and unfounded conjecture into his articles, as well as often completely contradicting the content of the music in question. Just to see if he can get away with it.
Thomas tweets as @thjmay, although usually only in shameless and desperate acts of self-promotion.
