Yang'en Xu is a Singaporean presently pursuing a Master's degree in Musicology at Kings' College London. A mediocre instrumental training in the form of an ABRSM Advanced Certificate in Violin Performance back in 1999 cemented his interest in orchestral music, particularly in the genre of symphonies and huge choral works.
His other interests (which he rates higher than music) are food, football and God, and he has been a long-suffering Tottenham Hotspurs and Inter Milan fan, two teams which suffer from the fate of having too much promise and too little accomplishment. His dream job is to be a restaurant reviewer with Sundays off for football matches and church.
