Gig Of The Week
The first lady of electro, Róisín Murphy, releases her latest solo album, Hairless Toys, on Monday, and she’s marking the occasion with a show at the Roundhouse, the following Saturday. It’s been eight years since we heard from the former Moloko singer and she’s not spent the time penning chirpy pop songs; it’s dark, evocative…and desperate to be brought to life on stage.
Announcement Of The Week
As if the bill couldn’t get any bigger, the people at Field Day have announced yet more names have been added to the line-up for the Victoria Park event on 6-7 June. There’ll be DJ sets from Jungle, Django Django and Beaty Heart, while Antix, Cholombian and Matthew & Me are among the acts set to join Caribou, FKA Twigs, Matthew E White, Savages, Patti Smith and Viet Cong.
