London Gigs: 13-19 October 2014

Nick Mulvey Gig Of The Week

This week sees Nick Mulvey play his biggest London show to date, as he takes over Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Thursday. The Portico Quartet co-founder released his debut solo album First Mind this year, and as well as rave reviews, it earned him a Mercury nomination. Since then he’s been keeping good company, having toured with Laura Marling. This show will give him the chance to prove he’s got what it takes to join the big league.

Announcement of the week

First Aid Kit have had another great year, with the release of their third album, Stay Gold, which charted at number 11.The Soderberg sisters clearly intend for 2015 to be just as busy, and have announced a UK tour for the start of the year, which will see them call in at Hammersmith Apollo on 27 January.
