NEWS: At The Drive-In Reform

AtdiAndrew Burgess writes: Post-hardcore Texans At The Drive-In are reuniting after an 11-year indefinite hiatus. The band's official Twitter account (which as of now has broadcast only three meagre tweets to the wilds of the Internet that was so young and boring when they hung up their hats in 2001) had this to say:

¡ ATTENTION ! To whom it may concern: AT THE DRIVE-IN will be breaking their 11 year silence THIS STATION IS …NOW…OPERATIONAL

At The Drive-In released three albums between 1993 and 2001, and 11 years out, their erstwhile swansong, Relationship Of Command, remains a challenging and engaging masterpiece. Following the band's last show in 2001, At The Drive-In split to form the hard-rocking Sparta and proggier cult favourites The Mars Volta. No announcement as to what a reunion means, but one can hope that a new album and a foray into the festival circuit are in order.
