Blaring jukeboxes, motorbike escapades, and skateboarding in locked-up empty swimming pools; Sailor Jerry’s new short film ‘Here’s To Life Outside The Lines’ is a celebration of rebellion through an unofficial lineage of road trips, choppers, wild times and living outside the lines.
Filmed using a cast of genuine bikers and bar-goers, and interspersed with archive footage of skateboarders, stunts, musicians and classic cars, the short film also contains original footage of the inspiration behind the brand, tattooist and innovator Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins, the personification of an independent spirit who lived life his own way.
‘Here’s To Life Outside The Lines’ is soundtracked by Iggy & The Stooges’ song TV Eye, from the band’s classic ’70s rock album Fun House, and Iggy himself is part of the crowd at the end of the short film. This campaign also marks Sailor Jerry’s recent collaboration with Iggy for ‘The Flash Collection by Iggy Pop’, featuring designs from the music legend himself.
