Brian Eno and Karl Hyde get very tropical on the first official single, Daddy’s Car, and second track to be released from their upcoming album Someday World. In short, the song is pretty much unlike anything you’ve probably ever heard before – it’s a jungle of instruments and a warm, party-starting number that’s coming out in perfect time for the summer weather. It’s also a throwback to the ‘80s, while managing to sound very fresh at the same time, and it’s generally a song that will make you feel good, happy and lighter the second you put it on.
With loads of crazy synth horns, cheery melodies and some Afrobeat thrown into the mix, this fantastic little ditty is guaranteed to get your booty shaking well into the night. Now bring on the rest of Someday World on Monday 5 May.
