Track Of The Day: Caribou – Can’t Do Without You

In 2010 Caribou released the experimental psych-pop album Swim and four years later, as the first taste off the forthcoming album Our Love, Dan Snaith has just dropped the official single, Can’t Do Without You. And there’s plenty to look forward to.

There’s loads of bubbling synths and dancefloor elation as Can’t Do Without You bursts into full-blown euphoria after a very minimal and hushed start. Add to it a looped lyrical hook that soulfully laments “I can’t do without you”, and this definitely makes for one essential track for your summer mixtape.

More recently, Snaith has been keeping busy with his electro project Daphni, but after hearing the first single from the new album, we’re glad Caribou is back.
