Track Of The Day: Fear Of Men – Luna

fear of men British indie types Fear Of Men are about to release their debut album Loom and it all starts with the first single Luna. It’s a haunting love song with swooping melodies and loads of distant echoes that make this track equally lovely and sweet as well as really creepy and kind of weird (the video which features archery, snake-charming and bare-knuckled wresting probably doesn’t help in the latter department).

Frontwoman Jessica Weiss also showcases her most angelic of vocal tones on Luna as the guitars jangle and the drummer bashes out some cool out of time signatures, resulting in an infectious and melancholic piece of indie pop and what is generally a brilliant, emotive track.

The single Luna is out on 7 April with the full-length album Loom following on 21 April via Kanine, but not before their live show at London’s Birthdays on 16 April.
