Building a reputation as one of the UK’s most intriguing and distinctive new bands, the sister duo of Annie and Georgie Hockeysmith (hence the band name) make ethereal industrial techno that’s mixed with interviewing melodies and big, heavy, chugging guitars – laden with delicate, dreamy vocals and poppy hooks… Safe to say, you don’t come across stuff like this every day.
Directed by Laura Coulson on Hockeysmith’s family farm in Cornwall, Hesitate is the first taste of what’s to come from the pair’s debut EP But Blood on 26 May and, frankly, we can’t wait to hear the rest of it.
