Real name Nika Roza Danilova, Zola Jesus has a knack for the quirkier and less accessible side of pop and, despite her grand ambitions, she really ought to go with what she does best – atmospheric, spacey, leftfield pop melodies topped with gorgeous, spine-tingling vocals. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
