You can now choose to pay per article or subscribe monthly to read premium articles
Since the site’s launch way back in 1999, musicOMH’s reviews, interviews and features have been free to access for everyone, because we’ve always wanted our words about the music we love and its makers we admire to reach the widest possible audience.
But it is not free to operate. We incur significant costs on a monthly basis, and advertising revenue to content providers like us, which once helped to cover these costs, has declined dramatically.
So, we are asking for your support. We are now asking readers to pay to read, either per article or through a monthly subscription. It’s also still possible to make a voluntary contribution on top of this, as we had before, if you’d like to.
musicOMH’s partnership with Axate allows you to pay in a way that suits you. You can pay on a casual basis at 50p per article – which is capped at £1 per day, after which you get unlimited access for the rest of that day – or get unlimited access with a £5 per month subscription. For a limited time, new sign-ups to Axate will also get a free £1 credit in their account to start reading with.
To get started, all you need to do is register with Axate. Payment is secure and all major methods of payment are accepted. There are no long-term commitments – you can cancel your subscription easily and whenever you like, or pay to read as and when you choose to – no gimmicks and no exclusive clubs to join – just a sincere request for your support.
Thanks for reading and thanks for your continued support. If you’d like to know more about Axate and how it works, there’s more in the Axate FAQs.
Thanks for reading.
